How The GRID Serves As A Collaboration Hub

The entire philosophy behind the Suuchi GRID is to connect all supply chain participants, so needless to say, communication and collaboration is a critical feature of the software.

For global supply chains, especially, a single platform that allows for all of their participants to have a seat at the table is game-changing. This type of connectivity goes far beyond the ability to send a message or confirm feedback. It allows businesses to facilitate real-time collaboration and updates to increase speed-to-market and productivity. The GRID serves as a digital workspace that drives connectivity and creates a repository of intellectual property to pull crucial business data efficiently.

In the GRID, anyone on the team can communicate through the comment or native chat features. Comments are tagged to individual stages or files to track feedback and questions across the process. The native chat feature allows participants to collaborate in real-time one-on-one or as an entire team with the option to create a group chat. This eliminates lost accountability and enables managers to see where processes need improvement or the workflows that are in place that drive stronger performance. The GRID also eliminates mistakes due to missed emails or calls through the global search. Users can search and filter for relevant information to easily reference comments. With all of the data flowing through the GRID, decision-makers can update their go-to-market strategy in real-time based on the feedback from their team, no matter where in the world they are.

In addition to the communication feature, the GRID allows users to upload files directly into the system. A multitude of file types can be uploaded up to 2 GB in size. Files can be marked for internal use, which protects any confidential information and prevents other participants from seeing irrelevant information. This feature also allows for factories to see the final version of a file to eliminate mistakes from following old spec sheets or information. They can also be tagged as a file that needs approval from other internal team members, managers, and/or customers across the supply chain. Simply “thumbs up” a file to approve it or provide feedback on what changes need to be made to be able to move to the next phase. When a stage is approved, it also automatically updates stage dates based on the turnaround time of the process and feedback, allowing leaders to get a better understanding of their actual lead times.

While the communication and collaboration tools are intentionally intuitive and straightforward, they revolutionize the historically manual supply chain operations. These tools allow business leaders to create a new level of connectivity, transparency, and accountability across their entire team. As we move into the new normal of a primarily remote workforce, a digital workspace such as the GRID is crucial to a successful supply chain management strategy.
