On today’s episode, Emanuel interviews Peter Sacco, Founder & CEO of Adelante Shoe Co., a direct-to-consumer brand that delivers amazing products to customers while supporting local craftsmen in Guatemala. Each pair of shoes that they sell is made-to-order with a 10-day turnaround time! To add to that, Adelante pays those craftsmen nearly double what the local markets pay, which aligns with the United Nation’s Goal #8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth.
Adelante is a great example of how brands can make a positive impact by supporting developing communities while creating a smart supply chain that eliminates excess production and waste. This is truly a company that we’re rooting for because of the positive contribution that they’re making and their desire to influence other brands to follow this sustainable made-to-order model. We look forward to following their growth as they challenge the status quo and grow their purpose-driven brand!
